I bought this from someone who aquired it from an auction. It's a yellow barrel used in the production of the first Jaws film.It was given to a lady(Lynn Murphy)who was hired to work on the film. Lynn and her sister inherited many props used in the film after production.including the Orca 2 which was created to sink on cue over and over.
This particular barrel was used to float one of the mechanical shark barges out to sea for filming. It's not one of the barrels used or seen on the Orca boat even though its exactly the same. The filming crew used barrels like this during production to float or mark things in the water. P.S I figured out how to post pics here.look out world:).

This fact is mentioned in (self-published). When asked about his reluctance to return to scoring Godzilla films, composer admitted he declined to work on (1989). However, his daughter pointed out that, beyond the Ostinato music, they also reworked one of Ifukube's themes into the track 'Bio Wars' in a contemporary style. With the composer unhappy about this, his daughter encouraged him to return to movie scoring on the franchise to have control over his themes. This resulted in the composer taking the job on Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah. These details are found in the 1999 magazine G-Fan #41.
